“Holly Deals”
For a limited time, not only can you earn cash for our school
with Marketplace purchases, but you’ll find great deals & discounts
for online stores such as Lands End, Wal-Mart, Best Buy & Barnes & Noble.
Box-tops for Education Box-Tops for Education can be found on many General Mills products including cereals,
snacks and yogurt packaging. They are worth 10 to 15 cents when they are cut out,
collected, and sent in to the company. We have earned over $1800 just cutting labels!
Gordon Food Service "Fun Funds" Since January of 2001, we have received almost $10,320.00 from Gordon's.
Please tell your family and friends about this exciting program if you shop at
Gordon Foods. It is easy to sign up - we have forms at the school or you can
ask a Gordon's employee next time you shop at the store. At any Gordon's
store, your shopping dollars earn as much as 10% toward the P.T.O. Each month
you'll receive a newsletter with bonus coupons to use at Gordon's.
This could be the easiest fundraiser ever!
*When you shop at Gordon Foods in Gaylord, a portion of your total will be donated to the school if you are registered. Registration forms are available at Gordon's or in the school office. The money that is donated helps support field trips, assemblies and other programs for Lewiston School students.
TARGET The Target program is similar to the Gordon's program. Just sign up next time you shop.
Designate the Lewiston Elementary School as the recipient. The P.T.O. has received almost
$600.00 in the last three years from this program.

Just by clicking and registering, you can earn cash for our school. If you normally shop at
popular web sites, just go to Schoolpop first, and then to your store and we'll earn a percentage for the school. So far, $280.00 has come from Schoolpop,

Did you know that the number one indicator for student success is parent involvement?
One way for parents to get involved at Lewiston School is to join the Parent-Teacher Organization (P.T.O.) Our wonderful group of P.T.O. members are responsible for the for our beautiful landscaping, many school assemblies, supplies for classrooms and many other projects for our school.
Reminder:
Parents who drive their children to and from school are asked to be
extra careful while driving in the parking lots and streets around the school.
The loop in front of the school is for pick-up and drop-off ONLY!
If you leave your vehicle, you are asked to park in the lots on the east
side of the building. The loop behind the school is for busses only.

Do you know what the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) does? In an effort to better educate new and existing parents to what it is we are about, please read the following. Here are some facts and figures to some of the benefits we provide for our students and school staff. These are usually items that are not covered by the J-L School's budget.
These numbers are based on the data from January 2001 through 2007.

The money is generally raised through one yearly fundraiser, our "Cookie Dough" fundraiser in the fall. This has raised $23,480.57 over the last 6 years. Better yet, we have raised quite a bit of money through "Funding Organizations". This amount totals $16,466.15. This includes Gordon's Food Service ($11,998.18 alone!), Box Tops for Education, (just cut them out, so far over $1600.00 worth!), Spartan UPC labels, and several others. For these, very little work is required....just some brand specific shopping.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE IS SOME NEW FACES!
Many of us have been members of the P.T.O. for many years and are finding our children moving on to the high school. We would like to pass our responsibilities on to eager and reliable people. We meet once every month to two months, just to keep our budget on line and our ideas fresh. No one will make you take a job! New ideas are welcome, the possibilities are endless. We meet in the liberty and like to keep our meetings short. We are all busy people, but what's important here is what we do for our kids! We hope to see you soon.
