🎨 Creativity Set in Stone
The Cardinal Club traded in the hustle and bustle for some peaceful "me-time" this week with a rock painting session! It was truly wonderful to see the transformation from plain stones to vibrant masterpieces.
From intricate patterns to bold splashes of color, every rock reflected the unique personality and creative spirit of our members. It wasn't just about the art—it was about the relaxation, the shared laughs, and the joy of creating something beautiful together.
Small stones, big imagination! ✨🌷🐢

Congratulations to Nikki Clark whose composition and performance of her poem, "Prom Night", was awarded the Sonnemann Audience Prize at the Traverse City District Area Library's annual Poets' Night Out event. Nikki's poem is now published in the event's anthology and in circulation in the TDAL's library collection. Way to go, Nikki!

On Sunday, the JLHS Writers' Club traveled to Traverse City for its annual trip. Funded by bake sale profits, they enjoyed dinner and a quick beach visit, before attending Poets' Night Out at Kirkbride Hall, where they celebrated Nikki Clark's winning poem and performance and connected with writers from Northern Michigan and the UP.
