Senior boy basketball players were asked to choose a JLAS staff member who made a positive impact on their life in one way or another. Thank you to our amazing staff for being positive influences, mentors, and supporters of all of our students—your impact truly matters! 🏀
7th grade scientists studying Genetics found out in lab today whether or not they have the gene to taste a substance (PTC), by touching test strips to their tongues. They then graphed the class results. For some it left a bitter taste, others that don't carry the gene tasted nothing at all.

Lewiston Cardinal Club enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon decorating cookies and creating Valentine gnome portraits! The students had a wonderful time participating in enriching activities and building teamwork skills together.
We have so many exciting enrichment and team-building activities planned — and we still have availability!

The Foods and Advanced Foods students were sharing their love of baking this week. These sweet Valentine's treats were loved by all💜🩷
President's Day Break
Today in art class, 5th grade students learned about America artist Robert Indiana. Students then had to collaborate as a group to create a piece of art inspired by Indiana's LOVE statue and print. The groups did a fantastic job and even presented their creations to their classmates. Well done 5th grade.

Lewiston Cardinal Club
Due to the frigid forecast tomorrow morning, with significant concern for the safety of students and staff, JLAS will be closed Friday, January 30th. Report cards will be sent Monday, games will take place as scheduled and any activity or practice MAY take place after 2pm tomorrow. Events for tonight remain as scheduled.

Due to extreme temperatures, projected snowfall, and unsafe roads, JLAS will be closed tomorrow, Friday 1/23. All activities/practices/games are cancelled. Fitness Centers will be closed.
