What a great week for JLAS band. On Wednesday they were able to display their talents at our annual Holiday concert. Both the 7th and 8th grade and the High School bands sounded amazing and did a fantastic job!! This weekend three of our High School students were selected for District 2 Honors band. These selections are proof of their hard work and talent. Congratulations!!! It was an amazing week for our band programs. Congratulations to the band members and Mr. Cassar for great performances.

On Giving Tuesday, our amazing art teacher Mrs. Quesenberry received a surprise $2,000 donation from the Otsego Community Foundation to support new specialized art equipment!

This gift will help our students explore, create, and dream even bigger in the art room.

What an unforgettable day at JLAS! 🌮📚

Mrs. Clark’s Business Management students received the surprise of a lifetime today when Chris Turner, CEO of Yum! Brands, and Sean Tresvant, CEO of Taco Bell, joined their class for a live Zoom meeting—just to celebrate one of our students!

Earlier this fall, Cooper Briley wrote a class-assignment letter to Yum! Brands sharing how much he loves Taco Bell. That letter made its way to the top—and today, two Fortune 500 CEOs met with our students to talk leadership, answer questions, and congratulate Cooper for making such a positive impact.

To make the moment even more special, Taco Bell treated the entire class to lunch and surprised students with fun Taco Bell swag. 🎉🌮

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness, humility, and generosity shown by both CEOs and the Yum! Brands/Taco Bell teams. Moments like this remind us how powerful student voice can be—and how far it can reach.

The 3rd grade in Lewiston welcomed the Grinch this morning!

Last night I was disappointed to miss the Band Concert, but excited to celebrate Ms. Odren as the Region 13 Principal of the Year!

It was Grinch week and the 67th day of school in First Grade!!

It's getting cold out and even the snowmen need to stay warm! Johannesburg 1st grade students racing to see who can dress the snowman first!

7th grade scientists wrapped up their Weathering, Erosion and Deposition unit with today's "Skittles Erosion Lab".

Due to areas of the district not able to be plowed in time for school tomorrow, Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools will be closed 12/1/2025 for Snow Day #1 of the year! Help your family out and get ready for the rest of the week! Bringing back this fun picture from 2023!

Lewiston Kindergarten had their annual Thanksgiving Balloon Parade this morning. Students worked hard this week planning and creating their balloons! Thankful to everyone who came to watch!! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 🎈🤍
